As a small but dynamic studio, TwofromTwo works to understand each project from the inside out. We revel in research and delight in dialogue. Communication with our clients is open and free flowing, allowing us to sprint and pivot when it’s appropriate, but also hold time and space for ideas and concepts to evolve naturally. We assess the opportunities that lie at the heart of each job and work closely with the various stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Small but mighty

We believe that small studios produce the most creative ideas. Less egos, less layers of approval, less mess - you’ll deal directly with us and we deal in ideas. With trusted networks across the country, we have the ability to scale up to meet the needs of any project. As our client list and workload has grown, we have been selective in who we have invited into our work family. Through the quality of our work and the relaxed culture of our studio we have attracted top graduates and experienced specialists in their field.

Consultation & collaboration

We believe in less ego, less “ta-da” moments and more conversations. This means our clients are privy to any and all discussions regarding the project. We take the time to interview and consult with staff and stakeholders at the outset, compiling research that drives the direction of our strategy. Often the outcome of the research process confirms what we instinctively knew to be true, however we remain open to new insights that help us to create a truly unique brand identity.

Moving at the speed of right

Although we have valued relationships with large clients, we eschew traditional agency thinking and ways of working - we are nimble.

The workflows and timelines within our agile studio move on a weekly basis. We duck and dive, putting in the hours required to hit the deadlines and keep the project moving forward. We communicate clearly and frequently, allowing us to adapt when priorities and deadlines shift.

We have an internal project management program but we are happy to adapt to the clients needs. Weekly catchups, Zoom meetings or managing through Base Camp, we’re happy to slot neatly into existing systems.

We know that deadlines are important and that delays have a cascading effect, however speed is never prioritised over quality. If a bit of extra time will yield a better result then we are not afraid to ask.

It’s about moving at the speed of right, not necessarily the speed of light.

Briefing / Research / Planning
We work closely with you to understand the challenges of the brief, the objectives and the opportunities. This involves detailed briefing meetings, possibly a workshop or two and plenty of phone calls. It is critical that we understand the project as well as, if not better, than you do. We won’t put pen to paper until we are comfortable that we understand the task at hand.

Concept Development
With the brief in one hand and plenty of research and investigation materials in the other, we start to brainstorm and draft multiple creative outcomes. We then work internally to define the strongest, most strategically sound directions and refine, refine, refine. We like to show our workings, so you can see where the seed of an idea originated and how it has blossomed. We present the three best directions, supported by plenty of conceptual applications so that you can see our vision clearly.

Remixing ideas

Refinements
After presenting the creative directions, we work with you through the feedback. We will fly the flag for the most creative direction and ideas that solve the brief. At this point we will work collaboratively with photographer, illustrators, artists, typographers or any other creative that may add value to the outcome. Through a process of refinement we will narrow the funnel to arrive at an approved kit of parts that are ready for roll-out.

Application
The success of a branding project hinges on how well the assets can be rolled out to applications, be they physical, printed or digital materials. We will be custodians of the brand, overseeing the creative output so that it is the best it can be.
